We are pleased to announce the upcoming TRANSLACORE **Training School on rRNA epitranscriptomics and translatomics : from bed to functional analysis** which will take place on July 6-8, 2026. The event will be hosted by **Virginie MARCEL **and **Caroline MOYRET-LALLE** at the Cancer Research Center of Lyon (CRCL), Lyon, France.


**rRNA EPITRANSCRIPTOMICS AND TRANSLATOMICS : FROM BED TO FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS**

 

Translational regulation, including ribosome heterogeneity, is essential to deepen our understanding of cancer biology and improve patient care. Yet, applying epitranscriptomics and translatomics to human clinical samples, including large cohorts, remains technically and analytically challenging. Following previous Translacore training schools on biobanking, epitranscriptomics and bioinformatics, this 3 day program will offer an integrated overview of the key obstacles and solutions for studying epitranscriptomics and translatomics in cancer models. 

 Participants will gain exposure to the full workflow, from biobanking and patient data management to patient derived models, sample preparation, sequencing, and dedicated bioinformatic tools.

**Program Highlights**

- Keynote lecture by a clinician researcher duo on rRNA epitranscriptomics and translatomics in high grade adult glioma
- Expert presentations on biological resources, tumoroid models, microfluidics, rRNA epitranscriptomics/translatomics, sequencing, and bioinformatics
- Visits to cutting edge core facilities
- Hands on bioinformatics tutorials (e.g., RiboMethSeq using rRMSAnalyzer): QC interpretation, R basics, dedicated R packages, report generation, and batch effect management

 
Audience: open to all (Master's degree students to researchers, including clinicians) – maximum 10 people

**FINANCIAL SUPPORT:**

The training school is organized under funding from TRANSLACORE COST Action. The financial support includes the reimbursement of travel fees + a Daily Allowance of 201€ per day of attendance and transferred after the completion of the Training School. Participants need to be registered on the e-cost platform and be part of COST action TRANSLACORE (CA21154). After being accepted to the training school, participants will receive an official invitation from e-COST and all information related to reimbursement procedure.
