### [MUSKLE COFUND Doctoral Network officially launched](https://www.muskle.eu/)

We are pleased to announce that the European MuSkLE COFUND Doctoral Network has officially started. The programme is dedicated to training a new generation of researchers.

**First PhD positions now open**

The first competitive call is now open and includes 17 doctoral fellowships across the network. According to the current call information, applications opened on 6 March 2026 and will close on 6 May 2026. Additional PhD positions are expected to be posted in subsequent calls. 

**Highlighted opportunity**

Among the currently advertised projects is a bioinformatics-oriented PhD position focused on alterations of ribosomal RNA epitranscriptomics across the spectrum of muscle biology, from normal to pathological myogenesis. This project offers an exciting opportunity for candidates interested in RNA biology, translational control, bioinformatics, and disease-related mechanisms in muscle differentiation.
